- We appreciate the green of the savannah, its crops such as flowers, lettuce, potatoes, tomatoes, among others.
- Then we continue towards the town of Guatavita, surrounding the Tominé reservoir, an important water resource in the area, we stop and see the cold Andean climate landscape of lake and mountains.
- Then we move to the town of Guatavita, created in 1967 with a colonial style, where I will show you the places to buy handicrafts, and taste delicious desserts from the region. We have a hot drink.
- Then we arrive and begin to walk entering the natural reserve of La Laguna, we meet a complementary guide in the attraction that accompanies us along the way, he mentions stories of the original people of the region, native words, among others.
- We know an indigenous replica house and we begin an ascent by steps with railing, this ascent is 130 meters, we rest several times, we arrive at the viewpoints where the lagoon, its water, its colors can be appreciated, its fauna is heard, in addition the flora goes changing to moorland, where you can see the frailejon (succulent leaves) that is only found in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela. After walking for 90 minutes, we proceed to the lagoon.
- Then we moved to the Cathedral of Zipaquirá, in this place the indigenous people obtained salt.
- This material allowed them to exchange for gold, food, feathers, etc. This trade changed the world of the natives and gave them access to many riches, which attracted the first Spaniards to settle.
- With the arrival of the 19th century, came the method of salt extraction by means of machines. The miners have always been very devoted so they had a space to pray. Then this space expanded.
