Itinerary
Día 1
"PASTO" Surprise City
- We will visit some churches that contain great architectural wealth, so that together we discover why Pasto is the theological city of Colombia. We went to visit our artisans , given our artisan wealth.
- There is a refined manual technique unique in the world that dates back to the pre-Hispanic period, known as Barniz de Pasto, it is the most characteristic and original of the cultural and artisanal manifestations of the Pastusos, consisting in the elaboration of carved wooden utensils and covered with a resin obtained from the fruit of a bush from the Andean jungle, called Mopa - Mopa, we will have the pleasure of knowing this technique with an illustrious craftsman . Also very characteristic of the city is the craftsmanship of the veneer of wooden objects using thin colored vegetable sheets, obtained from the cereal straw and with which drawings and figures are produced with results similar to those of marquetry.
- Finally, we invite our visitors to visit the Carnival Museum, which contains original pieces of floats and costumes that have participated in different versions of the celebration of the Black and White Carnivals, a unique museum given its origin.

Día 2
"Ipiales" Glow of Green Clouds
- On this day we will visit the municipality of Ipiales , to get there we made a trip from Pasto of approximately 2 hours. It is a route of great natural wealth, where you can widely appreciate the diverse range of greens of our productive land, diversity of colors that makes us worthy of the name: Patchwork tapestry.
- Upon arrival in Ipiales, we will go to the Colombian-Ecuadorian border , where we will meet the Rumichaca International Bridge, we will walk across it and go to Ecuador, we will go to the first city of the Carchi Province: Tulcán. From the border to Tulcán they are approx. 20 min.
- In Tulcán we will visit the Cemetery considered an artistic and natural wonder for the Cypress trees that are pruned so that they embellish this area, this art in gardening has had several recognitions.
- We will visit the commercial sector of Tulcán and return to Ipiales for lunch.
- Later we will descend to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Las Lajas, where we also find the Sanctuary museum. We go to the church and wait until dusk when the lights of the Sanctuary come on and dazzle us with their color.
- The return will be made through an ascent walk from the Sanctuary to the parking area, where we take the transport that takes us back to Pasto.
Día 3
"La Cocha" Recharge your senses with Nature
- This day we will visit the township of Encano, to get there we made a trip from Pasto of approximately 40 minutes. Here is located La Cocha, which in the Quechua language means Laguna, also called Lake Guamuez, is a large natural reservoir of glacial origin, the second largest natural body of water in the country. It has an area of more than 40 km and a length of 25 km; a maximum depth of 70 m, with transparent waters and beautiful contours. It has an island: La Corota, which houses a flora and fauna sanctuary, the smallest under the care of National Parks. It is home to many birds and plants, many of them endemic, and around the lake there are about twenty private nature reserves, cared for by the inhabitants of the region.
- We will visit the most representative village of the township: El Puerto, characterized by its lake dwellings.
- We will try the delicious "Boiled" (Nariño cocktail based on fruit juice and liquor, served hot).
- We will take a boat trip over the lagoon to Corota Island, there we will visit the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes on the island and those who wish can access the Flora and Fauna Sanctuary.
- We will return to the Port where we will have lunch in a typical restaurant on the sidewalk. At the end we will return to Pasto.
- Important: Entrance to the Flora and Fauna Sanctuary on the island. (There is an additional cost to enter and wait for the boat). To carry out the Kayak activity on the Lagoon (It must be confirmed in advance)

Return home
