Día 1
Great City Tour in Bogotá
- Our Grand City Tour is the most complete way to see the relevant places of the city in one day. You will be guided by an expert guide who will teach you about the historical and current events of Colombia.
- The first stop is at the Sanctuary of Monserrate, located in the imposing hills of the east of the city, at an altitude of 3150 MAMSL. Climbing to the top of the mountain in a cable car, you will reach the most notorious pilgrimage point of the city.
- Then you will walk along Jiménez Avenue to visit an impressive collection of native gold pieces at the Gold Museum. At the exit, you will have the opportunity to shop at the handicraft market in Santander Park.
- Then, you will go to the historic neighborhood of La Candelaria and walk through its picturesque cobbled streets that house more than 400 years of history. You will visit the Botero Museum, which presents works by the eccentric artist who has become an icon of Colombian contemporary art, Fernando Botero. You will have a stop at the Chorro de Quevedo to appreciate the various contrasts offered by the historic center and learn more about the history of Bogotá.
- After lunch, you will go to Plaza de Bolívar; The main square of the city. This square is surrounded by administrative and governmental buildings that have been fundamental during several historical processes of the country that you will know through the guide.
- Finally, you will go north of the city to Usaquén and have a panoramic view of the city. This neighborhood is famous for its crafts, restaurants and traditional architecture. Here you will have the opportunity to buy some souvenirs and enjoy an excellent cup of coffee before returning to your hotel.
